It took a while to get from the Shanghai airport to the downtown area. Our new guide is Alex, and he has an assistant named Tony with him. So, now we have three guides!
We ate dinner at a very nice restuarant on the waterfront of the Huangpu River. The area is known as The Bund. The view of the lights is absolutely spectacular there, and the rain had stopped by the time we finished dinner, so we had a great time.
The city is all abuzz about the World Expo being here. Everywhere we go there are signs and pictures of the mascot, Haibao, who looks like Gumby Neutron. He's everywhere!
We also saw the tracks for the magnetic train which is the fastest in the world. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see the train itself. Maybe on our way back to the airport.
